How an idea grew into something great
After years in retail management and a commercial environment, I wanted to have a better work/life balance and have more time for my growing family. Following the birth of my second child, I wanted to start my own business… so I created Pristine, my first business. I was looking for independence, flexibility and to build something for myself. Having my own business has enabled me to achieve these things, as well as helping to renew my sense of purpose.
How did I come up with the idea of Mumsthewordonline.com?
Whilst doing some decorating in my home I saw an advert in a newspaper for a female plumber, this got me thinking;

- How could I get people like me with a small local business known in my community?
- How could I give women (like me) a platform to shout about themselves?
- …and so the first concept of this site was born!
My main loves are; my family life, time with my children, travel, experiencing new things and shoes…I’m sure I’m not the only one!
We all have a dream, whether its around family, work, aspirations or interests the toughest part is knowing where to start. Through Mumsthewordonline.com I dream of creating a community that can achieve more together!

I became a full-time Fitness Professional in January 2011, though I feel my lifetime of experience in the field of fitness qualifies me to know that if it does not include an element of fun, it cannot be enjoyable or sustainable. I strive to help my customers achieve both and being able to combine my love of dance and fitness to create exciting and effective classes is very rewarding. I absolutely love teaching ZUMBA and am told by my class members that my passion and energy is infectious. They have so much fun, that they do not notice how hard they are actually working!
I am Susan, a Mum of 4 very lively children.
Before I had my children, I worked as an NHS Physiotherapist in a busy acute hospital in Oxford. We moved to South Leicestershire almost 9 years ago now.
When my youngest was just 9 months he choked and it was a very scary experience, I was grateful that I knew what to do and minutes later he was totally fine but I got quite a fright. It made me realise how important knowing basic First Aid is and I wanted to do what I could to help make learning Baby and Child First Aid accessible to everyone. So I trained as a First Aid trainer and in early 2016 I launched Mini First Aid Leicestershire, Rugby and Kettering.

This in turn helps me in creating wonderful hand-crafted items for your children - our speciality is teepees! Our aim is to design a magical wonderland for your little ones to spend hours of imaginative fun in where they can play or have some quiet time where they can read.
We love to involve you in our designs so your teepee can reflect yours and your child's personality and fit perfectly in to your home.
