Hypnosis works a lot like listening to a guided mediation. We want to get you into a very relaxed ‘hypnotic state’ so that we can quiet your conscious mind – your higher thinking mind – and access your subconscious mind – where all of your habits and beliefs are stored (good and bad ones!)
Our brain tries to save us energy and time, by storing much of our habits, thoughts, beliefs in our subconscious mind, making them so easy to do without using too much of our conscious brainpower. Think of driving a car for example. How often do you get somewhere and realize your mind was somewhere else the entire drive? You’re not having to actively think about breaking and accelerating, it’s all automatic behaviors. But what about the automatic behaviors that are not helping us get anywhere faster?! What about the negative thought patterns, bad habits, and limiting beliefs that are holding you back? That you so desperately, and consciously, want to change but struggle with.
